Based in central NC, I am an eLearning professional with a passion for education and training. I received my master’s degree in English with a focus on Technical and Professional Communication from East Carolina University. I furthered my education by completing a post-graduate certificate program in Online Learning and Professional Development at Appalachian State University and have since worked in the field of training design and development.

Learning Experience Designer

I help institutions develop digital learning strategies and shape digital transformation to create cutting-edge learning technologies and approaches resulting in inspiring learning content that is grounded in adult learning theory. After almost 20 years as an educator in both K-12 and higher education environments, I made the transition to corporate learning and development because I am fascinated with the teaching and learning process. I believe that the quality of learning content directly influences business results, both internally and externally. What drives me? Finding innovative ways to develop and present engaging learning experiences and driving innovation and learner engagement to a new level. I truly believe that all learners can be successful in a digital environment. It is my mission (and the thing that keeps me up at night) to find ways to convey information and content that is not only engaging, but empowering.

Happily married for over two decades with two amazing children, I love living in close proximity to the beautiful mountains of NC. As a family we camp, rock climb, hike, mountain bike, and snow ski as often as our schedules allow.
