Going Beyond Instructional Design

I have the unique experience of having taught elementary, middle, and high school grades, as well as college level students. Combining this with a solid education providing me with a deep understanding of adult and online learning, I have the confidence and experience to develop amazing online learning assets that are valuable, scalable, and engaging. I can quickly move from organizing content on an LMS for effective consumption, to creating courses, videos, audio, learning guides, and other learning content to support learners at all levels and in all types of learning environments – synchronous, asynchronous, blended, face-to-face, and hybrid. Along with my technical writing skills, I am able to manage eLearning projects from beginning to end.

In my career I have:

  • Demonstrated a commitment to life-long learning of skills and knowledge with a variety of experiences in education, information technology, business, and training, including management and supervisory experience.
    • Thorough knowledge of the ways that emerging technologies, digital archives, intellectual property laws, and strategic initiatives are transforming teaching and research.
  • Developed extensive and expert experience designing and developing online instructional materials using a variety of tools and resources.
    • Develop content and create learning solutions both internally and in partnership with external partners.
    • Develop and review learning assessments and objectives to ensure learning and development efficacy.
  • Designed collaboratively with internal and external clients.
    • Proven ability to conduct needs assessments to determine the appropriate learning objectives, audience needs, and developmental programs to meet customer needs.
    • Innate ability to explain technical concepts to expert and non-expert audiences.
    • Established internal network to build and maintain cross-functional relationships to meet learning and development needs.
    • Provided project execution excellence in end-to-end processes.
